“I’ve just got no motivation!” – It’s something we’ve all said at one stage, whether its before starting a health and fitness journey, or even the experienced trainee when their training program gets tough.
~ The truth is, motivation is only a small part of the puzzle when it comes to reaching your goals. It is fleeting and all too easy to stop listening to.
This is where understanding WHY you have a goal in the first place is so important.
~ When we understand “our why”, it gives us a strong base to fall back on when the day to day challenges that squash motivation appear, or when you’re deep into competition prep – tired, sore, and everything is difficult. When we understand “our why”, its our dedication to the goal that really helps us get there. Being dedicated is what makes elite athletes elite. Just turning up no matter what.
~ If you can understand your why and build dedication to reaching your goals, it doesn’t matter if you’re motivated or not, you will be able to achieve whatever you set your mind to.
